Kindred Market & Café

It was a blissful Easter Sunday and I decided to take a morning stroll to Kindred Market in search for a refreshing drink to cure my hangover

I was greeted by Lily, a famous matcha enthusiast. They recommended “The Lily,” so I paid and listened to Peg by Deli Girls as I waited.

From the moment I saw this drink, I was struck by its stunning presentation. The frothy, creamy beverage was a beautiful pale green color that hinted at the matcha flavor within, and was topped with a generous helping of colorful sprinkles. The whipped cream on top added to the drink's visual appeal and made it even more enticing.

Upon taking the first sip, I was immediately struck by the delightful combination of matcha and vanilla flavors. That’s it, I was cured of my regretful decisions from the night before. The matcha was perfectly balanced, not too overpowering, and complemented the smooth, rich vanilla flavor perfectly. The drink was also refreshingly cold and had the perfect amount of sweetness, which made it a perfect afternoon pick-me-up.

The texture of the drink was smooth and velvety, with just the right amount of ice to make it enjoyable to drink. The sprinkles on top added a fun, playful touch to the drink, making it a treat for both the taste buds and the eyes. The whipped cream on top was the perfect finishing touch, providing a light, airy contrast to the rich, creamy beverage beneath.

Overall, I would highly recommend this matcha vanilla frappe with sprinkles to anyone looking for a fun, delicious treat. The presentation was stunning, the flavors were perfectly balanced, and the texture was satisfyingly smooth. It's a drink that is sure to bring a smile to your face and leave you feeling satisfied and refreshed.

Honestly so incredibly little to complain about. Food is natural but delicious, clarity towards customers, the Cafe is good but could use some improvements. The kitchen makes delicious food as well, and the bulk goods sections far outway those at the Farmacy. I'd recommend this place every time.

I love Kindred Market. It is a wonderful store with a ton of products from around the world and local based. It is of course organic and you can usually find speciality products that are hard to find at supermarkets or chain stores. It is also not terribly priced. Some things may cost more than what you would pay at a large store, but their products are really good quality. The staff are also super friendly and helpful and the little bakery/coffee place has a delightful array of goodies for all dietary preferences. Definitely a great place to shop from if ever in Athens, Ohio.
