Musically Yours Piano Studio

Miss Ali has been truly instrumental (no pun intended!) with both of my kids over the last two years. She has taken one that had a passion for piano, and helped her learn and grow musically in leaps and bounds. The confidence she now has in her piano playing is amazing, and it has positively impacted her life in all areas – school, friends, dance. Her influence on my other child has been even more fantastic. This is a young boy who LIVES to be outside and/or playing video games. Sitting still for more than 10 minutes is “torture” (his words). Taking piano lessons may have been a bit volun-told from his perspective, but knowing his love for music, I really wanted him to try. Ali has not only uncovered a hidden talent in my son, she has encourage and related to him in ways that only a brilliant teacher could. My kids have had a blast learning from Miss Ali, and I know they now go because they WANT to. I continue to be astonished by their musical abilities, and look forward to their continued years with such a wonderful teacher. Thank you for EVERYTHING Miss Ali!

I can't say enough good things about Alissa and her role as our daughter's piano teacher. We started lessons with Alissa many years ago when she was just starting her private practice. Even then, she impressed the heck out of us. She was organized both in her lessons and her communications, but also used great teaching strategies and offered fun rewards and ways for her students to feel involved not only in their individual lessons, but with her community of students. Her skills have only grown throughout the years. She has an enormous amount of patience and even if our daughter stresses over not having practiced as she knows she should have, she always leaves her lesson encouraged and motivated to start again. Alissa has a way of exciting and encouraging our daughter and we are so happy not only for the piano skills she has acquired over the years, but that she has another strong female role model in Alissa. Our daughter loves Alissa and can't wait to see her at lessons! We are so pleased with Alissa and would highly recommend her for anyone seeking piano lessons!

I had Ms. Alissa as a piano teacher for six years and she was amazing and I learned so much! She was always very encouraging and made learning piano such a positive experience! She was always very kind and accommodating if I needed to cancel a lesson or change times. She truly cares for all of her students and is very passionate about spreading her love of music to them. I would absolutely recommend taking lessons with her!

I have 2 daughters who took piano lessons from Ms. Alissa for several years and absolutely LOVED her! Alissa does a great job assessing her students to see where they need to start out. She had each daughter work with several workbooks that were appropriate for their age and stage of learning with piano. Her expectations of practice each week were reasonable. The girls looked forward to seeing her each week. She also did a great job recognizing their accomplishments and held recitals that were wonderful! Not only is Alissa a great music teacher, but a kind, caring person in general. I would highly recommend Alissa as a piano teacher for people of all ages!

I highly recommend Musically Yours. Alissa has taught two of my daughters piano, and I couldn’t be more pleased with her approach that can be designed for the beginner, as well as how she challenges them to grow as their skills increase. Aside from her excellent teaching, she has a true love for music and for her students.
