We had an absolutely five star camping weekend!! We camped in area G which is brand new and in great condition. The electrical is all up to code and proper breakers and outlet receptacles are available for 15/20, 30, and 50 amp service. Water is clean and clear and has a pretty neutral taste. There were four individual showers available for our area with a little trickle of otherwise very hot water in well kept stalls.
The beach by area G was nice and clean and offered a refreshing cool off from the afternoon heat. There wasn't any ice available for purchase but the store right down the road had some. It was a surprisingly quiet weekend but it was still early in the season. As a bonus, we picked up a few bags of trash around the campground to get a couple free nights!! We'll be happy to come back again!!
You can go swimming or you can let your kids play in the very clean sand or volleyball or tetherball, there is a optical course on the water that is really fun, you can rent boats, cabins, camp sites. There's a little store there!
Beautiful campground! We parked our RV for a month on a paved even spot. Trails are great to exercise. We didn't use the beach but it's looks great. Weekends are packed but not crazy. Only cons for us are there is no Wi-Fi and it's far from our family. We chose this campground because they have 50% discount for 100% disable veterans.
G section is nice but for some reason after they gave F section to the full-time people they didn't put a playground in the new G section. Park is nice and quiet so it was good for my family. Only other down side was the event they had which brought the outside public into the beach and there was no one enforcing the rules. People smoking in the water and drink alcoholic beverages on the beach. This event was not scheduled when we booked our trip and we nothing about it until we arrived on Friday. Event was pretty cool just needed the park rangers on the beach area to enforce the rules.
