Roots Yoga

This studio gem is amazing! I purchased a month pass to try out a variety of classes. Gotta say, they are all fabulous! The instructors are by far the best I've ever experienced. Their passion and desire to promote health, positive attitude and energy comes through from beginning to end of class. I'm so excited to establish a favorite and routine schedule in the spirit of wellness with Roots Yoga!

I have been to quite a few yoga studios over the course of my life or yoga classes just within the gym that I was subscribed to. Within minutes of walking into Roots Yoga I could tell that it was different, yes I understand that sounds cliche, but walk in those doors for your first class and you'll understand what I mean. I was greeted by the owner who Is incredibly warm, I told her of my reservations and anxieties about being in a new place and not an expert at yoga. She dropped what she was doing and took the time to go through the building with me easing every nervous thought I had. She ensured I felt safe and comfortable. The instructor was incredibly kind as well as the fellow students. Everyone was so warm and welcoming, I did not feel like an outsider rather than someone who they haven't seen in a while and were so excited I was there. Within days after my first class I received a handwritten thank you note for attending no pressure to join just a note of thanks and if there were any questions that they were available to answer. It was truly an experience that blew my mind and by the end of the week was committed to making yoga practice a consistent in my life at Roots.

Roots Yoga offers so much variety and fun in their space, it’s hard to pick just one class. I started my yoga experience at a local YMCA and left when the instructor told me I could benefit from variety. Roots was where I landed. It’s where I recommend friends and locals to go. It’s where I learned real yoga. Jamie, the owner, is a wonderful person and knows her yoga! You are in good hands at her place!

I’ve been attending classes at Roots for a few months and I love it! The studio is beautiful, clean, and safe. It’s a very calming and encouraging environment. The teachers are all professional, knowledgeable, creative, fun, and personable. I especially love Kickasana in the mornings! I always leave feeling like “that was just what I needed,” feeling stronger and happier and more confident. I’m really grateful to have Roots and call it my yoga home!
