Christmas in Springboro, the weekend prior to Thanksgiving is a blast in Historic Springboro. Outstanding community, food, shopping, and entertainment. Not too many people outside of springboro know about this event so tell your friends and family!
Ohio history brought to life by volunteers, authors, historians and artifacts.
The chimney of the home of Quaker Jonathan Wright is painted white on the front as a sign to freedom seekers that this was a safe-house. The Springboro Historical Society has both a museum and an interesting walking tour of some local Underground Railroad sites. The walking tour is posted on YouTube and narrated by a local historian. The museum is small but full of interesting information. The historical walking tours are wonderful and the ghost or "spirit" tours they offer are a an absolute blast. That's why they sell out so quickly.
Springboro is justifiably proud of its Quaker and Universalist heritage that led to an association with the Underground Railroad.
