We truly enjoyed every aspect of our stay! The cabin set atop a hill with beautiful views from every side. A leisurely Saturday morning on the covered front porch in total peace started our day-the only interruption being deer and song birds. The close proximity to Lake Hope and the hiking trails kept us busy. And unwinding with a glass of wine under the star-filled sky in our own private hot-tub crowned the day! The cabin had everything we needed for relaxing comfort.
Inside was a kitchen with everything we needed for meal prep, an absolutely amazing loft sleep area with a king-sized bed, a large flat-screen with an assortment of DVDs, some reading material, board games and plenty of space to be comfortable. Front and back porches were both furnished with seating to enjoy the great views and lovely landscaping. Our timing was perfect, as all the hostas were flowering!!
This cabin is a must if you want to leave the beaten path, but be close enough to readily enjoy Athens and the surrounding area!!

If you are looking for a place to just sit back and relax, this is the place for you. The Staffords were so accommodating on anything we needed and made us feel invited. The cabin is beautiful inside...a cozy couch to snuggle up on to watch a movie, a lovely balcony to see the gorgeous scenery, and the hot tub to relax and listen to the sounds of nature. This is the place where my husband proposed to me, and it couldn't have been a more perfect place. Clean, inviting, gorgeous view.....these are all attributes of this cabin. I highly recommend this cabin to anyone who needs time away from the busy schedules of life. We will be returning and can't wait for our next stay!

We booked this quaint cabin during the winter, and we were not disappointed! We were greeted with a fresh, warm loaf of homemade bread! Everything was perfect, down to being able to fully enjoy the warm hot tub on a cold, cold night while gazing at the stars! Even when we had difficulty playing a movie (because we are technically challenged) on the DVR, the owner came right over to assist us! We enjoyed the ambiance of the fireplace. We highly recommend Stafford Hill Cabins!!

I loved my stay at the Stafford’s Cabin. It has a secluded feel with modern day amenities. We first arrived to see the cabin nestled away on top of the many beautiful rolling hills. Once we arrived at the cabin you can gaze and see the rolling hills from afar. I was also pleasantly surprised to see some wooded area behind the cabin, which gave it a feel of seclusion. The owners thoughtfully placed an area in which you can have a nice cozy fire to snuggle up to, but I have to admit I enjoyed gazing at the night sky in the relaxing Jacuzzi. I just laid back and let the bubbles work their magic. Entering the cabin you have a nice cozy feel that makes you want to relax and YES MEN they do have a satellite television so you can catch the game while your wife relaxes in the Jacuzzi or if you’re smart you will hop in the Jacuzzi with her. The bathroom and kitchen were in immaculate condition with not a spot of dirt to be seen. Once you go upstairs into the bedroom you overlook the living room below. I slept like a king on the bed. An uncomfortable bed is one thing I can be a stickier about and this bed felt amazing. I loved sitting on the front porch sipping my coffee in the morning while soaking up the beautiful view that lay before me. The views were fantastic. You can see for quite a distance. Finally, making the reservation was easy. I also liked how it was local and family run. The cabin checked off everything I wanted for a weekend gets away. Can’t recommend this cabin enough. I tell everyone about it. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. It’s nice to support a local business with friendly owners.
