    My wife and I were stranded on W. Michigan Saturday afternoon when we lost our brakes. We are both hardly able to walk. After waiting nearly three hours for AAA to send someone, we found they still hadn't done anything. Couldn't find a phone book anywhere, family out of town, and a number for a tow we were given was wrong. Finally had to ask SPD for help, and the dispatcher (I think her name was Brenda) quickly connected us to one and then another towing service and listened to be sure we got a tow OK. About ten minutes later our pickup was being taken to a garage and we were taken home. Don't know what we'd have done without her courteous and effective help.

    I've lived in Sidney for over a year and last night was the first time I've had any contact with Any officer and My Ex wife tried to lock me out of my House and then claimed I abused her and I had it all recorded and showed the Officer the recording of her Stating she would just call and say I beat her when I didn't and surprisingly enough Officer Wisniewski was extremely calm and professional instead of Immediately treating me like I was a criminal! One of VERY few departments that Doesn't mess with you unless you give them a reason.

    I have had several experiences with the Sidney police and they are too notch. They've spoken politely to me, were quick to respond, and they are always taking time to help the community stay protected.

    I would normally give a 5. But I had an event a few weeks ago with a love, and he was holding my neck and smothering me. After several attempts to call them, I finally could and they came. And nothing happened. And the next day I got a broken rib. They'll look into it.
