Lake Hope State Park Campground

Callie Rogers at the Marion Ohio store was extremely helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. We know she gave us great customer service and went over and above the norm. She made our shopping experience very enjoyable and we would be happy to recommend her to any family or friends.

Sales Associate Courtney P. Was absolutely great. We were originally just browsing and planned on buying a fireplace insert for our previously purchased T.V. stand. She not only helped us make sure it was the right fireplace insert, but we ended up buying a new sofa and ottoman at a fantastic buy and took it home same day ourselves. I had to share my experience about Ashley Furniture. Even though I didn’t make a purchase, the sales team never pressured me or hurried me. I was welcomed with a knowledgeable sales assistant, Callie who truly exudes passion for design and for helping you find what works best for you. I definitely would recommend you visit this store. The service was excellent!

Jessie was awesome at helping us get everything we were looking for to replace our living room furniture. She was awesome and all of her estimated delivery times were accurate. We got and love our new furniture a little quicker than we thought we would actually.

Overall nice campgrounds and park. The campgrounds is one long winding road on a hill. Most camping pads are not suitable for RV or TT, very short, sloped and uneven. Road is tight and pad is tight. Larger rigs will have difficulty. During our stay the upper shower house was closed. The lower shower house and restroom were clean and well kept. We had heavy rains during our stay. The road at the entrance to the park flooded (not impassable), along with several other side roads and trail.

Lake Hope is one of my favorite places to go camping!!! I fell in love with this campground and area. Best hiking trails around and so much forest to explore! I've been coming to lake hope for years now and it's always a great time camping. I love finding new campsites within the park that I've never camped at before, makes each trip special to me. Go to lake hope you won't be disappointed! Get out and explore!

Really loved this campground. So quiet and serene and nicely set up for privacy for each site. Bathrooms were clean, and staff was really polite & helpful. Really enjoyed it! Lake hope is really gorgeous too.

A great camping site if by great you mean a really chill, secluded, quiet camping ground at least 40 min drive from anywhere. The nearby Lake Hope is really pretty. I can't stress that enough. Plenty of hiking trails all around. You'd tire before you end counting all the trails you could do.

A word of caution: Lake Hope - due to its secluded, relatively untouched nature, tends to be the cooler of the other lakes in Southeast Ohio. The clime is definitely colder than surrounding areas. Hard to say why exactly that is so. Perhaps, Lake Hope is also on a higher elevation. Anyway, the point is, I'd pack up on those sweaters when camping out here.

That is not to say it's anything bad. Quite the contrary. It simply makes for a unique experience.
