World class Art museum here in Dayton, Ohio. Walk around outside the museum before you go in to see all of the art and sculptures located here. See the Dayton skyline as well. Don't miss the surly Lion statue that stands guard over the museum and see if you can make him smile!! There the is an awesome Masonic Temple and a Greek Orthodox Church next door so check them out too!!

The architecture of this building will awe you. It’s world class and built just before the Great Depression. This institution has noteworthy collections that are well laid out within the building. We did not see it all, but
We intend to return for more.

I visited the museum for the first time this past weekend and can say it’s definitely worth visiting at least once. The building is beautiful and has a nice view of the city, it’s very clean and well maintained, and the staff was friendly. The museum is small and mostly featured artwork from lesser known artists, however there were plenty of interesting pieces and they did have a Monet painting and a couple Van Gogh’s. I only wish the museum was bigger, but if you don’t mind the size, it is a relaxing way to spend two hours if you are an art lover.

What a great experience! I even did just a high-level run thru and enjoyed it very much. There are some great pieces in this varied collection. And I love all the books and crannies to explore with surprising displays. I also lucked into a Halloween-themed organ concert, which was great fun. The organ concert lasted an hour and the rest of my tour took another 1.5-2 hrs.
